About Us: Heights Baptist Church is a vibrant church that offers the resources and quality of a medium—to large-sized church. We are deeply rooted in the Alvin, Texas, community and are known for our warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone is treated like family. Our congregation is diverse, reaching all generations, with a growing number of young families, and we are particularly passionate about reaching our growing Hispanic community. Our church understands and affirms the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Our commitment to inclusivity is also evident in our dedicated disability ministry, which spans the entire church, including our youth ministry. We believe in creating a space where everyone can encounter God's love and grow in their faith regardless of their abilities or background.

Our church thrives on active participation, with nearly 250 members serving in one of our ministries this past year.

Our youth ministry is incredibly close to our heart, with consistent engagement from around 45 students on Wednesday nights and 40 on Sunday mornings. 35% of our youth ministry is home-schooled. This ministry is bolstered by over 10 dedicated adult volunteers, many of whom have been serving for years, providing stability and continuity. Our former Student Pastor served faithfully for over 13 years, leaving a legacy of commitment and care as he followed God’s calling to serve as Lead Pastor nine hours away.

Our student ministry area has a large patio, recreation areas, a pool, and an outdoor kitchen. Youth worship takes place in a converted four-car garage. Plans are in place to improve our children's and youth facilities in the coming years.
