Position: Worship Minister

Status: Part time, Salaried

Salary: Appx $25K

About This Role

The role of the Worship Minister is to lead all aspects of the worship life of Deer Park First Baptist Church.  This involves leadership and administration of the worship ministry, as well as envisioning, equipping, discipling, recruiting, and mobilizing the musical talents of the church. The Worship Minister shepherds people in authentic worship through the experience of music and creative arts within the ministry of the church.  

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Serve as the primary worship leader for Deer Park First Baptist Church
• Pastor, coach, mentor, and care for the worship team volunteers
• Lead regularly scheduled rehearsals and sound checks for worship team
• Ensure music selected for services glorifies God, is biblically accurate, and is in alignment with the beliefs of DPFBC and its leadership
• Manage the music budget and subscriptions needed for the functioning of the worship ministry in accordance with the financial policies of the church
• Meet regularly with the senior pastor and staff to discuss worship planning
• Be an active participant in the life of the church, including attendance and support of other church ministries

This position reports to the Senior Pastor.
