About the Role

Calvary Baptist Church of Nacogdoches is seeking a Youth/Student Pastor with a heart for discipleship and leadership to serve middle school, high school, and college students. This position is deeply relational, spiritually focused, and mission-driven. Under the guidance of the Senior Pastor, this role will help cultivate lasting spiritual growth among students while equipping families and volunteers to participate in ministry.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead weekly youth and college ministries, Bible studies, retreats, and outreach events.

• Foster spiritual growth through discipleship, gospel-centered teaching, and intentional relationships.

• Equip and partner with parents in the spiritual development of their students.

• Provide pastoral care through biblical counseling, visitation, and crisis support.

• Recruit, train, and support adult and student volunteers in leadership roles.

• Collaborate with church staff to integrate student ministry into church-wide worship, missions, and service opportunities.

• Manage the youth and college ministry budget with integrity and purpose.

• Assist the Senior Pastor with preaching, ordinances, and pastoral duties as needed.

Qualifications

• A growing, Spirit-led follower of Jesus Christ with a clear calling to student ministry.

• Alignment with the Baptist Faith & Message (2000).

• Prior experience in youth and/or college ministry leadership.

• Strong skills in biblical teaching, communication, and relational ministry.

• A shepherd’s heart and a team player’s mindset.

• A degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (preferred but not required).
