POSITION: Support Staff

  • 2-3 years of comprehensive technical experience in a large-scale church setting
  • Able to demonstrate reliability, creativity, self-motivation, and strong time management skills
  • Able to multitask a broad range of projects and meet deadlines on time
  • Possess the ability to maintain discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality
  • Lighting design, media management (including streaming), sound mixing

 

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Discover, develop, and lead a diverse team of volunteers to execute the audio/video/lighting/set design endeavors for Sunday morning gatherings as well as ministry events throughout the week
  • Special events such as VBS and Members’ Meetings are to be included
  • Maintain all audio, lighting, video, audio and video patching, rigging, ProPresenter, LED, and software updates to be in line with industry standards. As needed, work with vendors to arrange repairs
  • Assist the Minister of Operations in supporting the IT components of the church and staff
  • Manage all media/IT needs for CATC Kids Ministry
  • Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and functional use of space in front of house, backstage areas, and storage areas
  • Keep up to date with developments in the audio, video, and lighting (A/V/L) industries
  • Suggest improvements to the A/V/L systems in our facility
  • Serve other ministries needing A/V/L assistance, i.e. students, retreat, and children spaces
  • Develop and manage the production budget and resources
  • Deal helpfully and constructively with all other staff members, lay leaders, and volunteers within the church body
