Communications Manager

The Communications Manager will oversee the communication of the church’s identity, mission, and vision to its members, regular attenders, visitors, and the general public. The communications Manager will lead his/her team to anticipate, suggest, and meet the communications needs of the church. The Communications Manager will lead, manage, and develop the communications team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADERSHIP

• Be the lead strategic communications servant of CATC
• Foster, develop, and lead the communications team to identify creative ways to communicate the key ministries of CATC
• Lead the communications department to anticipate, suggest, and meet communications needs of the church
• Regular communication with Executive Team and Ministry Lead Team to ensure that the communication team’s work and strategy stay aligned with the mission and vision of CATC
• Be in conversation and dialogue with Ministry Leads to make sure the communications team is serving and guiding the church well

OVERSEE THE COMMUNICATION OF THE CHURCH’S IDENTITY, MISSION AND VISION

• Maintain a communications identity that fits with the determined CATC brand
• Oversee and guide the effective use of various communication means and channels such as web, video, print, and physical
• Oversee and guide the creative and strategic development of sermon series and other major
• seasons and events of the church
• Oversee a system to guide CATC staff members in communicating their ministries

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Manage the ‘traffic’ of work flowing into the communications department
• Ensure copy is clear and mistake-free and that design is appealing, yet not distracting

TEAM DEVELOPMENT

• Foster and develop servant leadership within the communications team
• Provide clear direction and guidance to team members
• Pray over, counsel, and care for each member of the communications team
• Challenge and speak truth to team members while also encouraging them
