Title: Children’s Ministry Coordinator
Status: Part-time Reports to: Senior Pastor

Education/Experience: Degree preferred, in related field
Minimum 3 years related experience (Experience in SBC life preferred)

FBC Fairfield is located in a rural community approx. 1 hour south of Dallas (on the I45). With a low cost of living and highly rated schools we are a desirable community for those looking to escape the city and enjoy a better quality of life. We have a growing community and a wonderful debt free campus which allows us to focus on missions, ministry and church health.
We have recently completed many physical improvements to the campus and our children’s ministry benefits from access to our Christian Life Center (recreational gym) and transportation ministry. We prefer applicants who are willing to relocate to Fairfield for this position.
We have a team of volunteers in place, but as is always true in children’s ministry - the leader must be able to recruit and train additional volunteers and ministry help. All our staff and volunteers complete Ministry Safe training and undergo background investigations.
Some of your Duties :
Enlist, train, develop and manage volunteers for Sundays, Wednesdays evenings and special events, such as Vacation Bible School and Children’s Camp
Plan, promote and supervise a program of children's Christian education, evangelism, discipleship and work with the next level minister to ensure smooth and learned transition in to Youth ministry
Lead in outreach to prospects who visit the ministry and minister to children, families, and workers in your ministry’s care
Overseeing budgets once approved, Preparing and submitting requests for annual Children's Ministry Needs
Managing ministry volunteer scheduling, background checks and safety training
Managing parent permissions and safety contact information

- The ability to draw other talented members into ministry and empowers others to lead and create within their abilities
Spiritual: Have a mature, yet still growing, relationship with Jesus Christ. Possess a calling from God (with the gifts and talents necessary) to lead the Children’s Ministries. Embrace the SBC - BF&M 2000. Staff members are expected to be involved in an intentional relationship with the Pastor (or assigned leader) for the purpose of spiritual growth and making disciples of Christ, they are expected to be regular church attendees and to support their church financially.
We Offer: This is a PT position and compensation package will be commensurate with experience and education. Some weeks may require 30 hours per week (like VBS week), or as little as 7 hours per week during the summer. Vacation is available and earned based on time of service. For families with small children, Parents Day Out may also be available as a benefit.
