Position Title: Part-Time Preschool Ministry Associate

Position Purpose: Works alongside the Kids Ministry Pastor in planning, coordinating, promoting, executing, and evaluating a comprehensive Preschool Ministry (birth – K) with the goals of (1) equipping parents as primary faith-trainers of their children and (2) nurturing children within our church body with God's Word and the love of Jesus.

Time Requirement: 21 hours per week
Sunday – Sunday programming – 4 hours
Tuesday – Workday – 7 hours (on campus)
Wednesday – Wednesday Programming – 3 hours
The remaining 7 hours make up 1 workday. How, when, and where these hours are used can be discussed.

Team Assignments: Kids Ministry Team
Direct Reports: None
Reports to: Kids Ministry Pastor unless otherwise assigned

Education: Preferred bachelor’s degree. Vocational or voluntary experience with children would be beneficial.  

Personal Qualifications:

1. Have and maintain a vibrant, growing, daily walk with Jesus Christ and serve as an example of a committed follower of Christ.
2. Be above reproach in your home, personal relationships, finances, integrity, and morality (background check is required for each applicant)
3. Experience in serving in Kids ministry.
4. Support the local church financially through offerings.
5. Should always exhibit professionalism, demonstrated by a well-groomed appearance, conscientious work ethic, be willing and able to work at a fast pace within a variety of settings and circumstances, with composure and flexibility.
6. Should be a person who gives extreme attention to details with an eye for excellence.
7. Should be a self-starter, good at multi-tasking and prioritizing projects.
8. Communicate effectively with Kids, Parents, and Church Leaders. 

Position Responsibilities:

1. Recruit, develop, supervise, and multiply volunteers and leaders to serve in the Preschool Ministry.
2. Work in tandem with Kids Ministry Pastor and Minister to Parents to serve the families of Parkway Hills.
   1. Being visibly present during Sunday and Wednesday ministry programming will be a key part of this.
3. Support the Kids Ministry Pastor in training opportunities for Preschool Ministry volunteers and leaders.
4. Support the Kids Ministry Pastor in formulating goals, objectives, and strategies for Preschool Ministry.
5. Lead in curriculum management and resourcing.
   1. Set up curriculum boxes and materials each week for Sundays and Wednesdays.
   2. Ensure classrooms are stocked with snacks and any other relevant supplies.
   3. Coordinate with facilities over use of the preschool area.
6. Support the Kids Ministry Pastor in preparing and implementing the planning and management of the Preschool ministry annual budget.
7. Shepherd and be accessible and open to communicate and minister to these three groups:
   1. Preschoolers
   2. Parents/Family of Preschool Ministry
   3. Preschool Ministry Volunteers and Leaders
8. Support the Kids Ministry Pastor and Minister to Parents in equipping parents of Preschool Ministry to be the primary faith-trainers of their children.
9. Work with Kids Ministry Pastor, Minister to Parents, and other staff to plan and implement major special events, such as Vacation Bible School, Parent Summit, Wednesday Night programming, Parent Night Out, Milestone Events, seasonal events, summer activities, and any other age-appropriate events throughout the year.
10. Work alongside the Kids Ministry Pastor to develop strategies to reach and engage the Greater Plano community through Preschool Ministry.
11. Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor, Executive Pastor, or Kids Ministry Pastor.
