FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, MEXIA TX
We are seeking an experienced Pastor to serve as a Part Time Interim Pastor who can lead us to unite and grow our membership. We are a suburban church with an approximately 300+ membership role and are located in a racially mixed community about 60 miles East of Waco Texas. Our church was founded 150 years ago. We have a predominantly conservative, senior age based membership with some young married and middle aged families included. We have no called staff serving at this current time. We are also searching for a Part Time Interim Youth Director.
The role of the Interim Pastor would include Preaching / Teaching from the pulpit on Sunday Mornings and Teaching Bible Studies or co-ordinating Youth Director and/or Childrens' Director on Wednesday evenings. Being present on Wednesday Afternoons for possible counseling with church members and help with planning church activities would be a plus - also attending monthly deacons' meeting on Sunday Afternoon.
