Freedom Fellowship Intern

Freedom Fellowship of Roanoke is a small church with a big vision. As “a family of faith living for eternity today,” we are seeking to raise up and send out leaders who will effectively serve churches throughout the country and around the world. To that end, we have an internship program that equips men and women called to ministry by combining hands-on experience, focused training, and opportunities to connect with and learn from other leaders in similar positions.

This program is tailored to your goals. Whatever area of ministry interests you is the area in which you can serve, whether you want to serve in the children’s ministry, student ministry, music ministry, pastoral ministry, or something entirely unique.

Intern Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Christlike example for all members of Freedom Fellowship
  • Promote the area of ministry in which you serve
  • Communicate with those involved in your area of ministry
  • Coordinate events with the Team Leader of your area of ministry
  • Diagnose areas for improvement in your area of ministry and work with the ministry team to implement changes
  • Meet regularly with the Lead Pastor for discussion and training

This internship requires eight (8) hours of work per week, which include four (4) hours on Sunday mornings and one (1) hour with the Lead Pastor; the intern may set his/her schedule for the remaining three (3) hours, and he/she may work remotely. The internship pays $500 per month. The internship runs on a trimester schedule (Spring, Summer, Fall) with the opportunity to renew at the end of each trimester for up to 8 trimesters (or 2 years). We are currently looking for interns for the Fall, but they can start as early as July.

Intern Qualifications / Skills:

  • Available to work eight hours a week
  • Available to work on Sunday mornings
  • Subject to a background and reference check
  • Must be able to articulate a call to ministry
  • CPR certification and MinistrySafe training preferred
