College Baptist Church is searching for a pastor who is committed to the inerrancy and authority of the Bible. He will agree with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 and will lead our church on the strong foundations of biblical authority. We desire a man who is being transformed by God's Word himself, as he leads our congregation to be transformed by God's Word as well. He will be relational in his delivery, and firm in his conviction.
Our next pastor will be easily approachable, a man who is skilled in relationship building. He will lead our staff with a team-based approach but will steward well the authority of the office of pastor for all matters of final say. He will encourage, enable, and empower others in ministry. He will make biblical decisions concerning the direction of the church and communicate these decisions with grace while leading gently.
If he has a family, he will put God first, his family second, and the church third. We desire a pastor who models faithful leadership in the home and allows that to overflow into his leadership at church. His desire should be to honor and glorify the Lord above anything else.
Compensation Package
Salary Compensation - $90,000 Annually (paid monthly or bi-monthly).
Vacation - (Dependent upon prior experience) Minimum of Two weeks vacation and Two Sundays per year.
Housing - 2140 sq. foot home (3 bed/2 bath) located at 700 Birdwell Lane, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
Electric, Gas, Rent, Sewer, Water and primary maintenance for this home is paid for by CBC and part of your package.
Parsonage is optional for our future pastor and can be discussed (pay would increase and can be negotiated if parsonage is not desired).
