Responsibilities:
Lead the worship music associated with Sunday Morning Worship
Develop individual Sunday morning worship programs in conjunction with Sr Pastor
Recruit & train as needed others to participate in the Sunday morning worship time
Coordinate & maintain the associated equipment, including logistics, for Sunday services
Coordinate with the Sr Pastor for special services including funerals, as schedule allows
Promote & mentor those that have a desire for participation in worship music
Cooperate with the Youth & Children's programs to achieve a rich & full music program
Recruit & coordinate a Praise Team, at the direction of the Sr Pastor
At the Sr Pastor's direction, provide styles of music & worship that align his aims for the service
General Duties:
Manage & provide budgetary input for the Worship service & all associated equipment
Participate in staff meetings & work as a team member
Education/Skills/Experience:
4 year college degree from an accredited university preferred, 2 yr degree acceptable
5yrs experience in leading Sunday morning worship
Must have demonstrable skills at leading worship music services
Must demonstrate a willingness & ability to provide a variety of worship music at the Sr Pastor's request including traditional, contemporary & blended
Must have a history of membership in Southern Baptist churches
Must be doctrinally compatible with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
