Youth/Music/Family Minister
First Baptist Church, Troy Texas
Who we are:
Firt baptist Church of Troy is located in the Heart of Central Texas on I-35 midway between Dallas and San Antonio with easy access to Waco and Austin. Troy is a small community with small town feel, but with the luxuries of having the city activities in close proximity.
Objective and requirements:
We are actively seeking God's chosen person for three opportunities. All of the these are available for part time, but a combination of any two could be considered as full time.
This person should have the boldness, gentleness, and the compassionate love that Paul demonstrates in 1 Thessalonians 2 as well as follow the requirments for leaders in the church, found in 1 Peter 5:2-4.
Music Requirements:
This person should have and exhibit a passion for music ministry with the desire to lead our congregation in meaningful worship. Because we are a small church with a variety of ages and worship styles, this worship leader should be willing to lead using a blended worship theme each week.
Although no particular amount of experience is required, this person must be able to read and understand music and communicate in musical terms with the instrumentalist.
The job would include being committed to communication, preparation, and an offering of leadership on Sunday morings, evenings, and possibly Wednesday evenings.
Youth Requirements:
This person should have and exhibit a passion for student ministry with the desire to lead by example in discipleship training and bible study. The job would include being committed to student activities during the week as well as Sunday mornings, evenings, and Wednesday evenings. Additional summer activities may be required as well.
Family Ministry Requirements:
This person should exhibit a passion and motivation, led by the Holy Spirit, to see people come to know Jesus as their personal savior through presentation of the gospel message, to enrich the lives of indivuals and families of the church, to be creative in developing means of reaching out to the community, and serving the church as a leader.
This position would require a minimum of 2 years of serving on a staff in a ministry context.
Must be able to communicate with others effectively, both orally and written.
Must be a good listener and compassionate to the needs of others.
Must be able to problem solve as the need arises.
This pershon should have the fundamental beliefs that would cause them to affirm the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.
