Reports To: Senior Pastor FBC Bridgeport.
Full Time Equivalent: Full-time. Flexibility of hours worked will be required and it
is anticipated that the position will involve some evening and some weekend working typical
of a church environment.

Job Overview
The Business Administrator/Operations Manager is responsible for the financial
reporting of the church using the financial software. The Business
Administrator/Operations Manager oversees the church building, custodial staff,
and manages the upkeep of equipment and building supplies to support the
ministries of the church. The Business Administrator/Operations Manager
develops, maintains and regularly reviews service contracts and effective working
relationships with key external service providers. The Business
Administrator/Operations Manager is responsible for the management and
quality control of all building projects and the contractors performing the work.

Responsibilities and Duties
Performs quarterly reporting, payroll and end of year W2, 1099, taxes,
Reviews online and hardcopy credit card receipts
Generates specific reporting for individual committees and staff
Provides input for ministries budget and investment accounts
• Administer the business affairs of the property and assets including
maintenance and oversight of all equipment
• Negotiate the various service and maintenance contracts with suppliers in
conjunction with appropriate committees (e.g. Stewardship and Property and
Space)
• Process through work orders, systems management HVAC access controls and
related space management
• Lead building related projects in conjunction with appropriate committees (e.g.
Stewardship and Property and Space)

• Provide project management supervision and perform quality control
inspections of all building projects with the contractors performing the work.
• Ensure all service and renovation projects meet or stay within budget
constraints
• Liaison to the Property and Space Committee
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration is desirable
• Knowledge of financial software is a requirement and training is available
Strong skills and knowledge of financial accounting with experience
Basic knowledge of building operations and maintenance requirements
Construction or construction project management skills with experience is
desirable
A comprehensive understanding and experience of church life and how a
small/medium/large size church operates is desirable
Must be able to pass a background check
