The Leon Baptist Association (LBA) seeks a part-time Associational Ministry Consultant (MC) to lead our 12 member SBC churches of Leon County in Central Texas, on I-45 midway between Dallas and Houston. The MC will be expected to work with the member church's staff, leadership, ministry developement teams, and Executive Board to pray, plan, prepare, promote, execute, and evaluate a total ministry of Associational work. He should be able to cultivate a ministering relationship with the pastors, staff members, and key leaders in the churches. The MC will serve as the chief mission strategist in the LBA, working with the appropriate LBA leadership and the Churches in churchplanting, ethnic ministries, and other oportunities that may arise for mission outreach within the Association.
The ideal candidate will have an adequate educational background, preferably a master's degree from seminary, and significant pastoral/ministry expereince with an SBC Church or agency.
