First Baptist Church of Tuscola exists to glorify God and make disciples by equipping our community to follow Jesus and make Him known. We are a small church in Taylor County, south of Abilene, TX, within the Jim Ned school district.

Position - Youth Ministry

Qualifications

• A believer in Jesus, called by God into ministry.
• A good listener.
• Exhibits a growing Christian faith and character.
• Faithful, available, and teachable.
• Able to articulate the Gospel message clearly and simply.
• Loves students and their families.
• Knowledgeable of God’s Word with the ability to communicate it effectively.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Must affirm the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.

Responsibilities

The Youth Minister will report to the Senior Pastor. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading students to embrace and live out the church’s mission.
• Developing and leading the youth ministry team to plan and execute ministry opportunities.
• Overseeing and managing the youth budget.
• Preparing and delivering biblical messages weekly, as per the church schedule.
• Organizing special activities to help middle and high school students grow in their faith, such as Disciple-Now Weekend, Summer Youth Camp, mission trips, and retreats.
