The First Baptist Church Tallulah, Louisiana is prayerfully seeking a full-time associate pastor of students.
As Student Pastor the primary responsibility is to lead a vibrant student ministry. We are praying for a personal, dedicated, God-called servant that will help the student ministry of our church be all God wants it to be. This person will provide spiritual direction to our students and minister to their families. We want to develop a generation of disciples that will grow in their faith and help others do the same.
As an Associate Pastor the primary responsibility is to see others come to know Christ, and to help them grow in their walk with the Lord. This includes our FBC family and others we intentionally long to reach. He will be a part of a team that longs to make a kingdom difference here and throughout the world.
The candidate must be a Christian who exhibits growth and maturity in their relationship with the Lord. This includes a clear knowledge of salvation as a part of their own personal testimony.
The candidate must have a clear and definite call to the Ministry. This call includes ministering and serving both students and adults. Their life should reflect the joy of salvation and the excitement of the call into ministry. They should be a growing follower of Christ by having a solid devotional life.
Seminary or Christian education is beneficial but not required. Being full of the Holy Spirit and led by God is the most important quality there is.
