Youth Minister

First Baptist Church of Cross Plains is currently in search of a Youth Minister.  Prayerfully consider the following expectations:

General Expectations for Ministers at FBC

• Follower of Jesus Christ with an active and growing relationship with Him.
• Desire to teach and demonstrate the gospel for the glory of God in ministry and personal life as well.
• Committed to moral purity and maintain moral and ethical standards in all situations and all times.
• Prayerfully engage in faithful and clear communication with the Pastor and Staff, support the mission statement and goals of First Baptist Church.
• Engage the community and be receptive to building relationships by sharing Jesus Christ through their ministry with local, civic, and public organizations and events.
• Exercise a sincere receptive and loving heart for all ages.
• Be a self-starter and capable to work on their own.
• Become a member of First Baptist Church.
• Spouses of married ministers must be supportive of all aspects of the ministry.
• Pass both criminal and financial background checks.

Youth Minister Expectations

• Develop relationships with parents and involve them through regular communication, parent meetings, and individual conversations.
• Responsible for the prayer and teaching ministries of the youth.
• Plan and organize regular youth activities, camps, etc.
• Supportive of all church ministries.
• Willing to attend school activities and events of students.
• Intentional in making efforts to integrate youth into church body.
• Make pastoral visits to homes, hospitals, as necessary.
• Keep up with websites concerning the youth.
• Maintain regular office hours as directed.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Senior Pastor.
