The Pastor Search Committee of Trinity Baptist Church engaged our church family with a survey to relay to the committee the type of man we will be searching for in our next pastor. TBC is searching for a Bi-Vocational pastor who believes the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15; 2 Peter 1:21).
TBC is searching for a pastor to lead and help our small congregation grow in Godly worship and prayer through the reading and counsel of God’s Holy Word. We need someone with a servant’s heart that has a vision and ability to increase the church membership in number and spiritual growth while serving as a lighthouse in our community. He will agree with the Baptist Faith and will lead our church on the strong foundations of biblical authority. TBC pastor will preach the TRUE WORD of God and not be afraid to step on member’s toes! He will value the suggestions of long-term members of the church but will not cater to anyone’s (or groups) desire to neglect another’s.
Listed are a few expectations of our next pastor based on the congregation’s survey: *should be easily approachable *able to build relationships with the members *personable *willing to counsel *truly listen *exhibit strong leadership skills *be a prayer warrior *be a mediator in all situations that may occur *love their church family *be involved with church activities *excitement about their salvation and Christ *If he has a family, he will put God first, his family second and the church third. *a pastor who models faithful leadership in the home and allows that to overflow into his leadership at church.
