New Home Baptist Church (“NHBC”) is a thriving, traditional, Bible-teaching church in New Home, Texas, a quickly growing town south of Lubbock. The church was founded in 1908 and both the church and community have experienced rapid growth due to the booming school district. Our mission is to teach the Word of God to spiritually grow the congregation and have a kingdom impact in our community, young and old!
Currently, NHBC reaches approximately 100 souls each Sunday morning. Our children’s ministry on Wednesday nights has been a huge hit bringing in over 100 kids every week. In light of our growth and the limitations of our existing facilities, we have purchased 10 acres across from the newly built elementary school and are currently working with architects to design a new facility. We also own two parsonages, including the lead pastor’s residence, a 4/2/2 home built in 2008 with 2,400 square feet.
NHBC is seeking a motivated, godly man who aligns with the Baptist Faith and Message of 2000. He should be called to the pastoral role and meet the qualifications in 1 Timothy chapter 3 and Titus chapter 1. The pastor should possess a deep love for the Lord and the ability to preach the truth of His Word, calling people into action. We desire a leader who is enthusiastic about being part of our community and supporting our youth and their accomplishments, while also serving and counseling those in need of spiritual help.
Strong communication skills are essential, as the pastor will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the church, including staff, committees, technology, prayer groups, and various church activities. As we continue to grow, we seek a pastor who can effectively oversee and help manage a new building project in the years to come. It is an exciting time at New Home Baptist Church and we are prayerful to recognize the man God is calling to lead our congregation!
