Student Minister

Student Minister (7th-12th grade)

Reports to: Discipleship Pastor

Salary Range: $45K - $55K per year plus benefits

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a nationally accredited seminary preferred
• Vision for and experience in Disciple-making and leading small groups
• Experience enlisting, equipping, and empowering volunteer leaders in student ministry
• Teachable spirit and an openness to learn new ideas
• Desire to collaborate and work in a team environment
• Humble servant leader

Expectations

Disciple-Making and Leadership Development

• Support the church’s vision to make disciples that make disciples
• Create an environment in which multiplication is normal
• Invest in sharing the gospel with lost people
• Equip parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their students
• Enlist, equip, and empower leaders for the student ministry
• Develop a leadership pipeline for student ministry
• Meet regularly with current and potential leaders for support and encouragement

Ministry and Missions

• Oversee the Student ministry environments, set-up, and weekly programming
• Build strong, Christ-centered relationships with students
• Plan and execute student ministry events 
• Engage with Middle Schools and High Schools in Mansfield
• Create opportunities for students to serve in the church and the community
• Instill in the students a love for the local church
• Mobilize students to be on mission (pray, give, go)

Administration

• Communicate regularly with leaders, parents, and students (e.g., meetings, emails, texts).
• Participate in weekly tactical staff meetings and monthly strategic meetings
• Contribute to the strategic goal setting and long-range planning meetings with the staff
• Work together with staff to plan and implement church-wide events
