FBC Rowlett is looking for a Children's Minister to lead and oversee weekly children's worship services, lessons, curriculum, and all aspects of a dynamic and thriving ministry. The ideal person for this role will have a positive, energetic personality that connects well with many different types of children, leaders, and parents. They will need to be a high-capacity leader with a strong drive and vision to know where the ministry is headed. The Children's Minister will be the head of their ministry but will also keep in mind that they are a piece of the greater ministry of the whole church. They will work as a team with the other staff members and pastors to accomplish the vision and mission of FBC Rowlett.
Children's Minister Responsibilities Include:
Communicate a clear mission and vision to volunteers and parents for Children's Ministry.
Recruit and train up a core group of volunteers that are serving consistently.
Help navigate growth for the FBC Children's Ministry.
Provide assistance across all ministries of the staff and church body to cultivate emotionally and spiritually healthy ministry teams.
Bring a sense of excitement and anticipation to grow with FBC Rowlett as the church continues to grow.
Create events that draw families into connection on the weekends.
Collaborates with other ministries in the church.
What You Bring:
Education & Experience
An undergraduate degree is required.
3 - 5 years of experience in church ministry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Able to build up a core volunteer team.
Communicates well.
Ability to build respect and rapport through constructive and effective relationships.
Understands technology and how it streamlines ministry, volunteers, and budgets.
Is a spiritual leader and skilled communicator with experience teaching/speaking to current and future audiences.
Able to cast a clear vision for Children's Ministry.
