Youth/Associate Pastor Job Description
Position Title: Youth/Associate Pastor
Department: Pastoral Ministry
The Youth/Associate Pastor is a vital member of the pastoral team, responsible for developing and implementing a vibrant and effective youth ministry. This role also encompasses general pastoral duties, supporting the Senior Pastor in various aspects of church ministry, including worship, discipleship, and outreach. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for reaching and discipling young people, a heart for pastoral care, and a collaborative spirit.
Responsibilities:
Youth Ministry:
* Vision and Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry strategy aligned with the church's mission and values.
* Program Development: Plan and execute engaging and relevant programs, including weekly meetings, Bible studies, retreats, mission trips, and special events.
* Discipleship: Create opportunities for youth to grow in their faith through biblical teaching, small groups, and mentoring relationships.
* Volunteer Recruitment and Development: Recruit, train, and equip adult volunteers to serve effectively in youth ministry.
* Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with youth, their parents, and school personnel.
* Outreach: Develop and implement strategies to reach unchurched youth in the community.
* Communication: Maintain effective communication with youth, parents, and the congregation through various channels (e.g., social media, email, newsletters).
Associate Pastor Duties:
* Worship Support: Assist in planning and leading worship services, including preaching, leading prayers, and participating in special services.
* Pastoral Care: Provide pastoral care to individuals and families, including hospital visits, counseling, and spiritual guidance.
* Discipleship and Education: Assist in developing and leading adult discipleship programs and Bible studies.
* Outreach and Evangelism: Participate in and support church outreach initiatives.
* Administration: Assist with administrative tasks as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other staff members and ministry leaders to support the overall mission of the church.
* Church event support: Help with setup, tear down, and leading of church events.

* Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and circumstances.

* Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality in all matters related to pastoral care.
* Adherence to Church Doctrine: Fully support and adhere to the church's statement of faith and doctrinal positions.
* Regular Attendance: Attends all church services and functions unless otherwise specified.
Requirements:
Experience in preaching and teaching.
Background check required.
Valid Driver's license
High School Diploma (Minimum)
Note: being bilingual is a plus but not a requirement.
Compensation:
40,000 a year w/ insurance included
