Minister to Students

Piney Grove Baptist Church in Atlanta, Texas is seeking a part-time Minister to Students.  The Minister to Students will lead and organize an effective youth ministry, including fellowship, worship, biblical teaching and discipleship. Most importantly, he should demonstrate a hunger for more of God and possess a passion to lead the students of our church and community into that same hunger, equipping them with a well-rooted biblical foundation upon which to draw as they interact with the world. The overall objective of the Minister to Students is to make Christ-like disciples of our youth, and to train and mobilize them to make Christ-like disciples as well.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him.

• Exhibit a passion for students in growing their faith.

• Exemplify obedience to the Word of God and devotion to a deep-rooted prayer life.

• Model a Christ-like lifestyle and a passion to reach the lost for Jesus Christ.

• A pastor / shepherd / servant leader (this does not necessarily mean ordained).

• A heart for the spiritual formation of students.

• Relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading group worship and study.

• Skilled in organization, administration, and interpersonal relationships.

• Skilled and creative in utilizing media and technology to reach and disciple students

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide direct leadership to our overall youth ministry (6^th Grade – 12^th Grade), working with our Student Ministry Team.  

• Model the values of a Christ-centered lifestyle.

• Establish strong relationships with the students of our church, maximizing ministry impact in their lives.

• Provide counseling and spiritual direction to students on an individual basis.

• Participate in staff meetings
