Job Description:
First Baptist Church Lovelady is seeking the man God has been preparing as our Senior Pastor. He is a devout lover and follower of Jesus Christ and God’s Word. He provides vision for the future of our church in accordance with The Great Commission. He should be excited to lead our congregation through biblical preaching, teaching, and mentoring. He should reside in, and minister in our local community.

FBC Lovelady is an SBTC affiliated church, made up of a solid core of Christ loving families. We are involved in several outreach ministries inside and outside our community. We have a youth and children’s program, as well as, senior members that are active in ministry. We choose to carry out our work under the three ministries reflected by our mission statement; It’s simple, Love God and Love People!

FBC Lovelady is located in Lovelady, Tx, 30 miles North of Huntsville on Hwy 19. Lovelady is a beautiful small-town community with wonderful people and a great focus on its school system.

-Character:
Growing and devout personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Live out the requirements as described in 1 Tim 3 and Titus 1
Exemplify what it means to live out a grace motivated and empowered life
Personable and reliable team player who displays flexibility and humility
-Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate and plan worship services
Prepare and deliver sermons / Bible studies
Lead in observance of Lord’s supper
Lead and provide oversight and direction to all church ministries
Develop leadership to grow the congregation & accomplish the Great Commission
Build momentum and growth for the church as a whole
Be involved in pastoral care, counseling, and visitation
Perform funerals, weddings, baptisms, and baby dedications as needed
Joyfully be involved in church functions, events and services
-Education/Experience:
A seminary graduate is preferred
Minimum 3 years full time pastoral leadership experience
Dual Vocational applicants will be considered.
