Seeking God’s Man for a Southern Baptist Church
Airline Manor Baptist Church of Houston, Texas is seeking God’s man to lead us into the future. We are a small congregation located in the north part of Houston, Texas in a multicultural community.
We have a desire to grow and are looking for the man God has chosen to shepherd us on this journey. This position will, out of necessity, be bi-vocational in the beginning with a goal of being full-time as the congregation grows. We are asking that candidates have some ministerial experience and at least some seminary training. While not a requirement, being bilingual would be an asset.
Our next pastor will be easily approachable and skilled at relationship building. He will believe in the inerrancy and authority of God’s word. We desire a man who is being transformed by God’s Word himself, as he leads our congregation to be transformed by God’s word as well.
He will value the insight of long-time church members but will not cater to any one group or individual to the neglect of others. If he has a family, he will put God first, his family second and the church third.
