The Youth Director Position is a part-time position. Salary is established based on qualifications and experience.

 

Qualifications

 

1. A mature, growing believer with a clear understanding of the Gospel and the ability to clearly communicate it.

2. Commitment to spiritual and personal integrity.

3. Education – A College degree is preferred.

4. A minimum of one year of experience and training in your field is necessary.

5. Regular and disciplined personal worship, Bible study, and prayer.

6. Ability to lead and thrive in a team-based environment and relate well with co-workers

and volunteers.

7. Flexibility and perseverance to adapt and rise above circumstances as needed.

8. Teachable, responsive, and respectful of authority.

9. Adherence to the Personnel Policies and Procedure Handbook.

 

Youth Director – General Statement

 

The Youth Director loves Jesus and has a passion for raising up youth for the glory of God. This person will possess a natural ability to pursue the youth in Oak Grove Baptist Church in China Spring through participation in Sunday Worship, Wednesday Youth Worship, Church Camp, Winter Retreats, Mission Trips, other youth ministry events, community involvement, and personal evangelism. This individual will build a gospel-centric youth ministry that focuses on discipleship in partnership with parents and the body of Oak Grove.

 

Youth Director – Duties

 

1. Youth Sunday school – The Youth Director is responsible for the youth Sunday morning bible study. He is to maintain a strong relationship with the teachers/facilitators and promote training opportunities throughout the year. Participation at Youth Sunday School is an expected part of the job.

2. Personally, witness and enlist youth for Christ.

3. Maintain an up to date file for the student ministry.

4. Train and develop youth in personal evangelism and outreach.

5. Promote and provide an on-campus presence at China Spring Middle School and High

School.

6. Provide personal counsel and ministry for youth and their families.

7. Provide quality bible study and teaching at youth activities as appropriate for the occasion.

8. Lead students in prayer, worship, and Bible study at Wednesday night worship.

9. Utilize calendars, email, text messaging, church website, and other resources to keep.

students and their families informed and current on regular youth activities and schedules. Plan a regular schedule of activities throughout the year.

 

Additional Job Responsibilities

 

1. Attend weekly staff meetings with pastors and staff

2. Submit and manage annual budgets for youth ministry.

3. Assist the pastors in areas of pastoral ministry as needed.

4. Other duties as assigned by the pastors.
