Student Minister

Ministry Purpose:   Be responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and evaluating the student ministries of First Baptist Church, Paris, which includes those students in 7^th through 12^th grade. 

Serving Relationships:   The Minister of Students serves under the leadership of the Senior Pastor and works closely with other Church staff, employees, and assigned Church committees. 

Primary Duties:  

• Provide leadership, direction and guidance to all areas of the Student Ministry.
• Guide, direct, mentor, and inspire the youth of First Baptist Church, Paris, to become more mature in their Christian faith and integrate them into FBC Paris congregational life and service.
• Understand the Church’s overall vision and goals and ensure that all Youth Ministry activities complement them.
• Plan, develop and conduct youth activities throughout the year. These include but are not limited to weekend and mid-week activities, retreats, mission trips and discipleship activities.
• Be responsible for enlisting and training leaders and workers for the Student Ministry.
• In consultation with the Senior Pastor and the Finance Committee, prepare an annual budget for the Student Ministry to be recommended as a part of the overall Church budget.
• On occasion and as required, be available nights and weekends for Student ministry events as well as to work with the Senior Pastor in making emergency pastoral care visits as needed.
