Lead Pastor/Senior Pastor
Lamar Baptist Church
Arlington, TX
Lamar Baptist Church was founded in 1981 as a church plant of Northside Baptist Church. We enter our 44th year as a church family with almost 400 covenant members focused on our mission of “knowing Christ and being His light to all nations and all generations.”
We are a plural elder led congregation committed to these plumblines:
The Gospel of Jesus Christ will be unapologetically at the center of all we do.
- Teaching and Preaching Centered on God’s Word
Expository preaching will be a priority, not being swayed by the culture, but standing firmly on biblical truth.
- Spiritual Maturing of All Church Members
A deeper understanding of God’s Word will lead to deeper personal intimacy in the life of our members.
- Discipleship & Evangelism Equals Faithfulness
Making disciples and sharing our faith will be hallmarks of who we are and how we are known by our community.
- Meeting People Where They Are Without Compromise
Engagement of the lost cultures around us without watering down the truth of the Gospel and sound doctrine.
- Leverage Resources Towards Great Commission Efforts
At least 10% of our budget will be given towards Great Commission efforts for the building up of Christ-centered churches.
- Accountability to the Church Covenant
We desire to see our members held to a higher standard by leadership and one another.
- Obedience over Excellence over Mediocrity
We strive for obedience, which leads to excellence in all we do.
Our desire is to see North Arlington and the surrounding areas come to know Jesus. Each week we worship as a family and hear God’s Word boldly proclaimed while regularly participating in the Lord’s Supper. We fellowship in small groups across all age groups as we dig deeper into spiritual truth. Discipleship is part of our weekly routine as we offer different opportunities for our members to mature in their faith and understanding of Scripture.
