Youth and Children's Minister

Bethel Baptist Church in Roswell, New Mexico is searching for a full-time Associate Minister of Youth and Children.

The minister’s focus is to develop and provide spiritual, relational, and organizational leadership and ministry to the youth and children at Bethel Baptist Church. This person will work to revitalize and grow the youth ministry at the church and help with organization of the children's ministry. You will work alongside their families, volunteers and church leaders to help our students grow in their walk with Christ.

Bethel is in a unique location, as it is across the street from one of the two public high schools in the city. Additional information about our church can be found on our website at www.bethelroswell.com.

Responsibilities

1. Fulfill the qualifications of Scripture outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Understand and support Baptist beliefs and practices.
2. Evangelize, disciple, mentor and teach our youth during Sunday School, and Wednesday nights.
3. Plan and incorporate ways to involve our youth and children with the entire church body through interactive activities and ministry opportunities.
4. Oversee Children’s volunteers and Children’s curriculum in cooperation with the Sunday School director.
5. Manage Youth and Children’s budget.
6. Plan, promote, and implement VBS (Vacation Bible School).
7. Organize and lead children and youth mission projects, camps, and trips both local and away.
8. Work to establish and maintain a church presence in our local schools and community.
9. Assist the Pastor and Deacons with other ministry needs or areas as required.
