Family/Music Minister

Overview:

This is a full-time position tasked with

1. Planning and facilitating the worship portions of church gatherings
2. Providing administration of ministry and discipleship among the children, youth, and families of FBC.

Our preference would be a man with a family.  We need additional help with ministering to the next generation, and helping with worship. We currently have volunteers that support both arenas.  Depending on the applicants gifting and experience, the role may be adjusted. 

This is a salaried position with housing.  Pay will depend on background and experience.

General Expectations for Ministers at FBC

• Live out the Great Commandment to love God with all you are, and love your neighbor as yourself.
• Desire to teach and demonstrate the gospel in ministry and personal life as well.
• Committed to moral purity and Christ-like character in all situations and all times.
• Engage in clear and Christ-honoring communication with the Pastor and Staff,
• Become a member of FBC and support the mission statement, beliefs, and goals of FBC.
• Engage the community and build relationships through ministry to local individuals and organizations.
• Be a self-starter and capable to work on their own.
• Make pastoral visits to homes, hospitals, as necessary.
• Maintain regular office hours as directed.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Senior Pastor.
• Spouses of married ministers must be supportive of all aspects of the ministry.
• Pass both criminal and financial background checks.

Family Minister Expectations

• Equip parents to be disciple-makers of their children.
• Responsible for the prayer and teaching ministries of the youth gatherings and events.
• Plan and organize regular activities, discipleship trainings, outreach events, etc. related to youth and children.
• Intentional in making efforts to integrate youth into church body.
• Willing to attend school activities and events of students.

Worship Minister Expectations

• Prepare and lead the singing portions of church gatherings, Sunday AM/PM, Wednesday nights, events, etc. in coordination with the Senior Pastor.
• Develop people in their understanding and participation of faithful worship as part of the local church.
