Who we are:
First Baptist Church of Troy is located in the Heart of Central Texas on I-35 midway between Dallas and San Antonio with easy access to Waco and Austin. Troy is a small community with a small town feel, but with the luxuries of having the city activites in close proximity.
This person should have the boldness, gentleness, and the compassionate love that Paul demonstrates in I Thessalonians 2 as well as following the requirements for leaders in the church found in 1 peter 5:2-4.
Family Ministry Requirements:
We are actively seeking God''s chosen person to be our Family Life minister. This is primarily a part time postion but coupled with our youth minister opening, it could very well become a full time position.
This person will serve as an assistint to the pastor to help achieve the goals of ministry in the church.
This person should exhibit a passion and motivation, led by the Holy Spirit, to see people come to know Jesus as their personal savior through the presentation of the gospel message, to enrich the lives of indivuduals and families of the church, to be creative in developing means of reaching out to the community, and serving the church as a leader.
This postion would require experience in serving on a staff in a ministry context.
Must be able to communicate with others effectively, both orally and written.
Must be a good listener and compassionate to the needs of others.
Must be able to problem solve as the need arises.
This person should have the funamental beliefs that would cause them to affirm the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.
