Overview: The Minister to Students will provide a well-balanced program for youth, seeking to win the lost to Christ and help those who are Christians to mature by discovering and developing their personal gifts and God-blessed abilities.
Qualifications: The Minister to Students shall be called to the youth ministry – one who loves young people and has a passion for evangelism and outreach, both personal and at the ministry level. The Minister to Students shall be committed to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He/she will be actively engaged as a church member and will serve FBC according to the Biblical mandates for leaders in 1 Timothy 3:1-7. Responsibilities: 1. Serve as Division Director.2. Plan and direct events that promote fellowship, worship, discipleship and evangelism. 3. Plan and direct occasions for youth to participate in ministry and share in church leadership. 4. Work with youth leaders to coordinate visitation among youth families. 5. Advise church leaders regarding curriculum, equipment and space for youth in all church programs. 6. Keep parents updated on ministry strategies and plans in a way that encourages partnership and involvement.
The Minister to Students will be expected to attend some of the local school activities and sporting events at his/her discretion and as encouraged by the Pastor. An example would be "See You at the Pole" activities.
