First Baptist Church of Jonesville, Virginia is an SBCV church tucked into the beautiful mountains of the southwestern tip of Virginia, just a few miles from both the Tennessee and Kentucky borders. The community of Jonesville is a small coal-mining community with very friendly residents of all ages and a great place to raise a family. The church is located right on the main street within walking distance from several neighborhoods and walking distance to our quaint little town and community park. The church has a nice family life center with a full basketball court, bleachers and scoreboard where we host Upwards Basketball and pickleball nights.Our worship is blended with a preference given to comtemporary music and a worship team uniquely filled primarily with gifted teens. We are looking for someone who can lead the team, so yes, a decent ability to sing is required. The ability to play a guitar would also be a great bonus but not required. We'd like for the worship leader to also lead our high school youth group, making contact with them throughout the week as a mentor to them, engaging in their walks with the Lord. The only staff of the church currently is the pastor and the custodian. The worship/youth leader will work closely with the pastor.
