Assistant Children's Director

This position requires someone with a profession of faith in Jesus Christ that will affirm the unique worth of Children's Ministry by helping to provide a safe, nurturing enviornment for children to grow in their faith while actively engaging and collaborating with parents, volunteers, and church staff. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist in recruiting, scheduling, and supporting children's ministry volunteers
• Aid in the planning, execution, and coordination of all children's programs and events
• Assist in managing classroom set-up, check-in stations, and ordering/maintaining snacks and supplies
• Update children's ministry information on digital/social media platforms and other communication channels
• Any other support deemed necessary by Children's Director

Oualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years Children's Ministry experience
• Skills: strong organizational abilities with attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, effective collaborator and team member
• Ministry Focus: passionate about children and family ministry, with a relational approach the emphasizes equipping and discipling

Compensation:

$20,000/year

Position Expectations:

• 15+ hrs/week*: Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, 1 day a week(T,W,Th) for prep, planning, and meetings
• Travel Requirements: possible travel for camp(if attendance is deemed necessary) or conferences
• The assistant children's director will help in making schedule adjustments and that may involve phone calls or emails outside of regularly planned work days

*There may be times more hours are required for events such as VBS or camp.
