Part-time/Interim Worship Pastor/Leader
Part-time/Interim Worship Pastor/Leader will oversee all worship ministry and will report to the Senior Pastor. The Worship Pastor/Leader will shepherd the praise team, band, choir, and congregation by leading them in gospel-centered worship that reflects biblical truth and is consistent with the mission of the local church.
Qualifications:
Give testimony of salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ, and baptism by immersion.
Exhibit a maturing relationship with Jesus Christ and possess a heart that is faithful to follow Jesus.
Possess a calling to lead others in worship.
Possess the musical ability to direct praise team, band, and choir in leading the congregation to worship.
Be able to lead a congregation through a transitional time with care and compassion, while helping the congregation make the necessary changes for its next worship pastor.
A team player that wants to help the local church become a healthier church that brings greater glory to God.
Responsibilities:
Plan and lead blended worships services with the Senior Pastor that prepare them for God's Word and engages them to respond to God's Word.
Lead 2 services per week on Sunday morning (8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.) by singing with the praise team, playing with the band, and directing the worship choir.
Use Planning Center to inform praise team, band, choir, and other leaders weekly of their role in the upcoming worship services.
Lead rehearsals with the praise team and band prior to the Sunday morning worship services and on Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. during choir practice.
Lead special events such as seasonally appropriate musicals/worship opportunities.
Lead, train, and oversee the audio/visual/media teams.
Challenge and provide opportunities for praise team, band, choir, and congregation to grow in their faith.
