Position: Worship Ministry Intern                

Classification: Non-Exempt, Regular Part Time, Intern           

Primary Reporting Relationship: Worship Minister

Secondary Reporting Relationship: Executive Pastor

Position Summary

The Worship Ministry Intern is responsible to assist in worship service planning and development, leading worship for a variety of church events, and contributing to the development and shepherding of volunteers within the worship ministry at First Mansfield (FM).

• Ability to work within the context of a team
• An undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a future in Church ministry
• Leadership aptitude and experience
• Technological aptitude and interest (programs like Google Suite, Microsoft Office/Teams, Planning Center Online (PCO), Ableton/DAW, Multitracks, etc.)
• Worship leadership capability and competence
• Flexible and adaptable

Development

• Meet bi-weekly with the Worship Minister to work through required reading (4 books) and internship curriculum alongside other FM interns
• Meet weekly with Worship Minister for leadership development and mentorship

Job Responsibilities

Part-Time Hours: estimated 10-20 hours per week, August 2024-May 2025

• Lead vocally or instrumentally in various ministry settings
• Assist in planning services and scheduling volunteers who serve in worship leadership across church ministries (Children, Students, special events, etc.)
• Contribute positively to shepherding, care, culture, and development of volunteers
• Participate in PCO management and content creation
• Become a meaningful member of FM and demonstrate active involvement in the life of FM, especially young adult ministry
• Participate in regular programming and special events at FM
• Attend quarterly all-staff meetings
