Lane Prairie Baptist Church is seeking God’s direction for our next Children’s Minister/Director. LPBC is committed to discipleship, missions, and evangelism, and is experiencing God’s favor. LPBC is seeing people saved and baptized, sending out short-term mission teams, sending out IMB missionaries, exceeding budget needs, partnering with multiple North American church plants, and training many college and seminary students through our intern program. LPBC is debt free.
Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to the Lead Pastor
Principle Function:
Children’s Minister is responsible for developing, casting vision, and leading a ministry to children 3 years of age through 6th grade, as well as their families.
Specific Ministry Requirements and Responsibilities:
*Facilitate opportunities to lead children to faith in Jesus Christ through effective evangelism
*Develop a disciple making strategy for children that involves equipping parents as their primary disciple makers
*Prepare and teach/recruit teachers for Sunday Bible Study, LP Kids Church, Wednesday Night/AWANA/Summer Program
*Provide counsel, as the need arises, to children, their parents, and LP Kids ministry workers
*Plan and lead LP Kids Ministry events (Outreach, Camp, Fellowships, VBS, Mission Opportunities, etc.), with input from parents
*Enlist, equip, and oversee LP Kids Ministry workers (Sunday Bible Study, LP Kids Church, AWANA…)
*Communicate LP Kids Ministry information effectively to the Lead Pastor, parents, and congregation (email, text, social media, website)
*Manage and operate within the LP Kids Ministry budget, as well as make budget proposals for the following fiscal year
*Support kids and their families by attending various extracurricular events (sports, band, etc.)
Additional Responsibilities:
*Attend weekly staff meetings.
*Work under the general supervision of the Lead Pastor.
*Be available for hospital visitation.
*Serve as staff member on call for assigned weeks.
*Assist the Lead Pastor as deemed necessary by the Lead Pastor.
*Assist in the worship services as deemed necessary by the Lead Pastor
