Role Summary
Lead a Christ-centered, Bible-anchored ministry that partners with parents to disciple children (nursery–6th grade) through safe, engaging environments, gospel-centered teaching, and relational care. For more details visit: SSFBC Children's Minister Job Description.
Key Responsibilities
• Cast vision and develop a clear discipleship strategy aligned with SSFBC’s mission.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and encourage volunteers for nursery–6th grade.
• Ensure safe ministry policies and consistent classroom procedures.
• Oversee weekly programming and seasonal events (e.g., Kids Worship, Kids’ Connect, VBS, outreach).
• Communicate with and equip parents for at-home discipleship; provide family care and support as needed.
Qualifications
• Growing relationship with Jesus; Christ-like character and servant leadership.
• Clear calling to children’s ministry; able to teach and communicate effectively.
• Strong organization and team leadership; collaborative with staff and lay leaders.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; children/family ministry experience strongly preferred.
Church Snapshot
• Sunday Worship (10:30am): ~300 average attendance
• Kids Worship (K–4th, Sundays): ~30 average attendance
• Wednesday Kids’ Connect (age 3–6th): ~100 kids + ~40 workers
