Children's Ministry Director

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop robust ministry for children birth through 6th grade.  Enlist, develop, train, and constantly grow a team of volunteers who lead across all Children’s-related activities.  Maintain a fun, clean, and safe area for children’s programming to take place.  Intentionally reach out into the community.  Ensure that each event has enough leaders for the number of kids anticipated and age-appropriate learning and activities.  Be actively involved in church-wide events and events outside of specific ministry area.  Contact and get to know guests and new families.  Tasks as assigned by campus pastor in cooperation with the Family Ministry Team.

Qualifications

• A committed follower of Jesus.
• A calling to ministry and a passion to minister through the local church to influence thelives of children with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Passionate about seeing the lost transformed by Jesus.
• The ability to work in a flexible environment.
• Experience with administration, evangelism, teaching, leadership, and service within thelocal church (on a previous staff, a plus)
• A bachelor’s degree is desired (preferably in education or ministry).
• Must pass a background check and complete child safety training.

Expectations & Work Commitment

• The job of Children’s Ministry Director – Klein Campus consists of a 25-hour work week.
• Sample weekly commitment.(4 hours on Sunday, 4 hours on Wednesday, 17 hours across other office times)
• Additional hours will be supported “as necessary”.
• Work-related hours will be determined in cooperation with the Klein Campus Pastor incooperation with the Family Ministry Team.
• Sunday morning, Wednesday evening, and Mondays are required.
• Collaborate with Spring Campus Children’s Minister on children’s ministry.
