Minister of Students

Vista Grande Baptist Church is seeking a passionate Student Minister to serve our 7th-12th grade and college age students. The Student Minister will be responsible to coordinate and oversee discipleship programs, events, activities and general ministry for this age group. He will develop positive relationships with students, volunteers and parents in order to provide biblically based direction and coaching. A Master’s degree and at least three years experience in a mid sized youth group are preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Directs, plans, coordinates, and evaluates a comprehensive ministry addressing the needs of students in hopes that all will put their faith in Jesus Christ and mature in their faith.
• Coordinates closely with parents and volunteers to provide biblical training and coaching
• Organizes and directs Sunday School and discipleship programs for Students
• Coordinates and plans follow-up for new students
• Coordinates and leads volunteers to help with Student Ministry programs
• Directs and coaches student leadership team to build the next generation of leaders
• Maintains availability to meet with students, volunteers and parents as needed for ministry purposes
