Lakeview Baptist Church or Vidor (LBC) is currently accepting applications for a bi-vocational pastor. Lakeview Baptist Church of Vidor is affiliated and aligned with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Sabine-Neches Baptist Area Association, Kirbyville, Texas. We are a small, established congregation of Christ followers in Orange County,Tx.
LBC is located approximately 5 miles north of Vidor, Texas. Though most congregates are senior adults, they have a sincere desire to reach out to young families, teens, and children. The members of Lakeview Baptist comprise a warm and loving fellowship of faith-driven believers who fervantly uphold their pastor with prayer, support, and encouragement.
While LBC would graciously welcome an experienced pastor, their focus is on finding the man of God who desires to lead them in growing their church and spreading the love of Christ in their small community.
Applicants must be ordained by a church affliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and subscribe, agree with, and support the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Furthermore applicants will:
- Submit to and pass a background check.
- At a minimum be a high school graduate.
- Possess a minimum of 2-5 years pastorial experience.
- Agree to minister in agreement with the LBC Constitution.
- Lead the congregation in coordination and cooperation with the Deacon Body, church committees, and leaders.
- Lead the congregation in coordination and participation in programs with the local Baptist Association and the Southern Baptist Convention.
- Be given to the practice of personal evangelism as well as be prepared to train and lead the congregation in evangelizing the rural community that surrounds it.
