Overview
Lakeside Baptist Church of Canton, Texas, a Southern Baptist congregation rooted in the traditional Baptist
Faith and Message (2000), seeks a God-called Senior Pastor to lead our church in worship, ministry, and
mission. Our church is committed to biblical truth, pastoral care, and preaching that equips believers to grow in
faith and share the Gospel. We value a pastor who prioritizes caring for the flock and delivering well-prepared,
Christ-centered sermons.

Qualifications
- A clear calling to pastoral ministry and alignment with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
- Ordained Baptist Minister
- Minimum of 5 years of pastoral experience, preferably in a Southern Baptist church.
- Strong skills in expository preaching, with a commitment to thorough biblical sermon preparation.
- Demonstrated heart for pastoral care, with experience in counseling and ministering to diverse needs.
- Deep personal faith, integrity, and a lifestyle consistent with biblical standards for church
leadership - 1 Timothy 3:1-7
- Ability to connect with all age groups and foster unity within a multigenerational congregation.
- Agreement with traditional Southern Baptist practices, including believer’s baptism by immersion and the
autonomy of the local church.
