Worship/Youth Pastor

First Baptist Church of Cameron is in search of a musically-gifted, spiritually-mature, biblically grounded, creative Christian person to lead worship working alongside other ministry staff. • $25,000/yr, 20 hours/wk. As the ministry grows and can sustain it, this position will transition into a full-time opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This person will:

• Assist with the planning and execution of the FBC worship service.
• Demonstrate leadership, creation and execution of Holy Spirit-led blended contemporary/traditional worship for our Sunday service
• Shepherd, train, manage and care for our existing worship team
• Develop a process to regularly recruit and mentor new worship leaders and team members desiring to join the FBC worship team
• Work closely with the sound/media/technical team
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of all sound, media and technical aspects of the music ministry.

REQUIREMENTS:

This person should:

• Recognize they are called to worship; not merely a musician leading others
• Have experience leading worship in the church setting
• Be sensitive and spiritually in tune with the Holy Spirit
• Be a true worshiper and regularly lead the team in worship and prayer
• Have skill as a musician on instrument(s) and voice
• Have musical proficiency in order to train, assist and grow the team
• Have a broad knowledge of Christian worship music across multiple styles and generational tastes.
• Have the flexibility to grow as the position requires.
