Youth Pastor

Position Description: The Student Pastor is responsible for leading and directing the Student Ministry to accomplish the church’s mission to disciple the next generation and their families.

Qualifications:

• Born again Christian who is called by God into vocational ministry.
• Exhibit mature Christian faith and character.
• College degree in related field is preferred.
• Experience in Student Ministry.
• Must be able to clearly and simply articulate the Gospel message.
• Love students and their families.
• Knowledge of God’s Word and ability to communicate it.
• Proficient with printed and digital study aids.
• Knowledge of and able to perform basic computer skills.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Executive Pastor to be unified in the church’s mission/goals.
• Work as a team with the Dove staff as it relates to Student Ministry.
• Prepare, submit and maintain a yearly budget for Student Ministries.
• Meet weekly schedule expectations. This includes but is not limited to Sunday and Wednesday services as well as summer programs & events, also church events.
• Recruit, train and lead adult volunteers for Student Ministry.
• Share the Gospel as the Lord gives you opportunity.
• Attend and support students’ events and extra curriculars when able.
• Provide counseling as needed.
• Write and/or choose bible study curriculums and sermons.
• Oversee Youth Worship team and coordinate with them for songs and worship opportunities with the youth and other areas of the church.
• Develop and implement strategies to build and grow our student ministry and their relationship with God.
• Provide regularly scheduled opportunities for Christian growth and development, fellowship, corporate worship, and service to others through church sponsored activities. Opportunities include but are not limited to Sunday and Wednesday gatherings, regularly scheduled local ministry, mission work, and fellowship gatherings.
• Plan and coordinate Youth Camp each summer.
• Plan outings for student ministry that create opportunities for fellowship and growth.
• Run background checks for all volunteers in youth ministry.

Salary - $55,000 plus benefits (Salary could increase based on experience)
